The Role

What You’ll Do

As a Gutter-Vac Technician you will operate our specialised wet and dry vacuum equipment to clean gutters and downpipes at residential and commercial properties, and carry out our other scheduled exterior services.

On The Job

A Typical Day

A typical day starts around 7am and finishes around 3pm. These are not set times.

  1. Review the day’s jobs and prepare the vacuum, hoses, tools and safety equipment.
  2. Travel to a residential or commercial property and assess access and site risks.
  3. Clean gutters and downpipes, and complete any scheduled solar or gutter-guard work.
  4. Take before-and-after photos, record any issues and leave the property tidy.
  5. Explain the result to the customer and prepare for the next job.

Driving

This role involves towing a trailer between sites. We run both manual and automatic vehicles.

  • Driving A Manual Vehicle Is An Advantage, Not Essential

Physical Requirements

  • Working At Heights On Roofs And Ladders, Using The Safety Equipment Provided
  • Climbing Up And Down Ladders Throughout The Day
  • Lifting, Carrying And Setting Up Vacuum Equipment, Hoses And Ladders
  • Working Outdoors In Varying Weather Conditions
  • Standing, Walking, Bending, Kneeling And Reaching For Most Of The Day

Desirable, Training Provided

  • Experience Working At Heights
  • Trade, Maintenance, Exterior Cleaning Or Customer Service Experience

Previous experience with Gutter-Vac equipment is not required. Training is provided.
